Mary Ann Brazier outlived her husband by at least 2 decades (he died before his 40th birthday).
She is NOT the Mary Brazier who’s death was registered in Stourbridge in Mar of 1876 at age 63 (6c-108)
In 1861, she was listed as the head of the household: Mary A Brazier, aged 47 with eight of her children. (Bap date would have her as 46)
In 1871, she was listed as head of the household: Mary Brazier, aged 56, with only Daniel left at home. (Bap date would have her as 56)
Since she does not appear (at least I can’t find her) in the 1881 census, assumption is that I will find her death between 1871 and 1881, probably in Staffordshire, but possibly in Worcestershire.
In Staffordshire, there are the following possibilities for MARY ANN Brazier:
Mar 1874 aged 67, Woverhampton, 6b 307 (b=1807)
Dec 1878 aged 73, Dudley, 6c 62 (b=1805)
Dec 1887 aged 68, Kidderminster, 6c 119 (b=1819)
In Staffordshire, there are the following possibilites for MARY Brazier:
Sep 1873 aged 70, Wolverhampton 6b 279 (b=1803)
Dec 1874 aged 63, Stourbridge 6c 150 (b=1801)
Dec 1875 aged 69, Wolverhampton 6b 306 (b=1806)
Searching Worcestershire brings up the same possibilities.
Mary Ann Brazier does not show up in the list of burials from Wolverhampton registers but this may be because the family was not C of E.
The Wesleyan Chapels in the parish are at Ladymoor (built in 1848), Ettingshall, Coseley, Upper Gornal, Gospel-End, Bradley, Mamble Square, Can Lane, and Wallbrook so there would be a lot to choose from.
This seems like the only possible prospect given – according to my calculations based on baptism date and age at 61 and 71 censuses, Mary would have been about 63 in 1887 though.
Dec 1887 aged 68, Kidderminster, 6c 119 (b=1819)
